Portable Filtration Units

RPS produces a line of portable High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) purification and filtration units. These range in size from portable units with a capacity of 125 CFM to large permanent units with capacities of up to 10,000 CFM.

A complete line of accessories including filters, charcoal adsorbers, flexible duct, connectors, stainless steel couplings and adapters are also offered.

RPS was instrumental in the introduction of this technology to the nuclear generating industry. The air cleaning equipment product line has some unique features that were pioneered by RPS such as a “housingless” filter holder design and a cylindrical filtration module design.

CSA US

The CSA mark (certification) means a product has been tested and meets applicable standards for safety and/or performance, including the applicable standards written or administered by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), NSF International (NSF), and others.

CSA International is accredited by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). CSA is fully qualified to test electrical, electronic, mechanical, plumbing, Energy Star, HVAC, and lighting equipment, along with a wide range of other products sold throughout North America, Europe and Asia.

Aerosol Challenge (“DOP”) Testing

Factory testing
  • RPS can perform aerosol challenge “DOP” testing of portable HEPA ventilation systems to assess filter and filter seal integrity prior to shipping the HEPA filtration unit. Challenge testing is performed according to ANSI/ASME guidelines using PAO (Polyalphaolefin – Emery 3004) as the challenge aerosol.
On-site testing
  • RPS can also provide a qualified technical specialist to perform this service on-site, as well as providing the aerosol generator, photometer, and test media necessary to perform the required measurements. At the conclusion of the testing, RPS will generate a report to document our findings and make repairs or recommendations.
