HEPA Filter Cask Shield
This cask shield is part of a special Steam Generator Vacuum System that RPS has manufactured. A steel container houses a compactable and disposable in-line HEPA filter element that collects highly radioactive debris from steam generator internals during maintenance operations.
This cask shield surrounds the filter assembly and greatly reduces the radiation levels in the surrounding area.
This is another example of how RPS specializes in the design and manufacture of shielding solutions for the nuclear industry.
